1. Acceptance

By installing or using cld-ext (“Claude for Sheets”, “the add-on”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the add-on.

2. Description of service

cld-ext is a Google Sheets Editor Add-on that allows you to interact with Anthropic's Claude AI models directly from within Google Sheets using your own Anthropic API key (BYOK). The add-on is provided as free, open-source software for personal and professional use.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for obtaining and securely managing your own Anthropic API key.
  • You are responsible for all API usage charges billed by Anthropic to your account.
  • You must comply with Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy when using the add-on.
  • You must not use the add-on to process data you do not have the right to process.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving any changes Claude proposes to your spreadsheet.

4. No warranty

cld-ext is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the add-on will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that Claude's outputs will be accurate or complete.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors and maintainers of cld-ext shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or spreadsheet corruption — arising from your use of the add-on, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Back up your data. The add-on includes an audit log and undo mechanism, but this is not a substitute for maintaining your own backups of important spreadsheets.

6. Third-party services

Use of this add-on requires an Anthropic API account and is subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Your data sent to the Anthropic API is governed by those terms, not by cld-ext.

7. Open source

cld-ext is open-source software. The source code is available at github.com/zync-code/cld-ext. Use, modification, and distribution are subject to the license terms in that repository.

8. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the add-on after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
